Natural participates in an Applied Linguistics event, promoted by a renowned Brazilian university
Written by Natural - 04/dec/2020
The 10th edition of the Jornada de Línguas Estrangeiras Aplicadas was held over three days and included three guest speakers from the Natural team.
The X LEA Journey began on 12/02 and ended today (12/04). The Natural Language Institute was honored to share its achievements and tools that have been developed in the area of linguistics and technology.
Every year, students of ‘Planning and Organization of International Conferences’, at the University of Brasilia (UnB) organize the event. The event was designed to allow people to share knowledge and provide an excellent opportunity to expand horizons, and that it did.
Anna Furtado, a linguistics consultant, Ricky Seabra, a Natural English teacher, and Victor Hart, our founder and a teacher at Natural, represented the Institute on very important topics.
Anna taught the workshop "Methodology of Reading and Production of Academic Texts" and also did a presentation on "Lexicography and Assistance to Immigrants”. Ricky presented the Kariri dictionary (hyperlink pro linguanaturalis.com/kariri) and other subjects related to the "Revitalization of the Kariri Language". Victor Hart then gave a more specific insight into the method developed by The Natural Language Institute in the "Technological Innovations" section of the conference.
This method is possible thanks to work done across the board, involving linguists and developers, combining technology and education to create customized tools for individual learning. These tools make the Natural method what it is; the most personalized and efficient in the sector.
Natural is proud of its excellent representation at the conference and is grateful for the new connections established with the academic community and other interested parties.
